Global meat prices reached an all-time high in May but pig meat prices fell on high export availabilities.

The outbreak, affecting nearly 2,000 pigs, happened in Greater Poland, the largest pig-producing region in the country.

The low prices of key crops "compensate" the rise in price of other components of production - premixes, veterinary drugs and fuel. The analysts of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine analyzed the reasons for these dynamics.
