The main novelty of the law for the enterprises critical to the economy of the country and providing vital functions of the population is the possibility to book employees without performing mobilization tasks.
The law also clarifies the categories of persons subject to military reservation for the period of mobilization and gives the government the right to develop a reservation procedure that includes criteria for classifying enterprises as critical.
"The passage of changes to the reservation legislation is a welcome step. According to an assessment of the sentiment and needs of market operators by a monthly operation of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine (ASU), the risk of losing qualified personnel due to mobilization is one of the highest.
Since May the order of booking of military conscripted workers stipulated obligatory fulfillment of mobilization assignment by an enterprise. The problem is that only a small number of companies succeeded in obtaining it. Therefore, cancellation of this requirement at the legislative level is necessary to simplify the reservation procedure, which will support the operation of the industry under martial law.
The next important stage is a new reservation procedure, which is being finalized by the relevant agencies, and the definition of criteria for classifying enterprises as critical. We hope that their approval will take into account the proposals of profile associations!", the AUPB commented.
The Association Ukranian Pig Breeders is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded by domestic pork producers. The main objectives of the association are representation and protection of rights and interests of the association farms, assistance in the development and introduction of new technologies for the efficient production of pork, the expansion of markets, and protection of domestic markets.
