KSG Agro has upgraded its herd of pigs with 60 purebred sows and 10 boars of Canadian genetics. They were delivered to the agroholding's pig farm in early November of this year.
"We continue to rejuvenate the pig farm by supplying sows and boars of Canadian genetics. The goal of this process is to improve the quality characteristics of the herd. Among them are improving the health of the piglets and improving the taste of the meat by, among other things, increasing the proportion of marbled pork. The latter, as we know, is valued all over the world for its softness and amazing taste characteristics for cooking kebabs," comments Sergey Kasyanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KSG Agro.
It will be recalled that KSG Agro is Ukraine's first commercial producer of marbled pork in the pork segment. KSG Agro plans to supply marble pork to the luxury stores of the retail chains, where the premium class products are presented. For the convenience of consumers, it will be specially labeled for identification purposes.
