Free of Charge Lab Tests for Twenty Ukrainian Pig Farms

The program is implemented with the support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which AUPB received after winning a grant application contest. The focus of the project is to improve pig health monitoring under war conditions.

The monitoring program is just one of the activities. It was compiled by the best national veterinarians and specialists of Biosafety-Center laboratory (Dnipropetrovsk oblast), which will conduct research. The program includes complex tests for a number of respiratory and gastrointestinal pathogens, as well as sensitivity to antimicrobial agents. The program provides for triplicate sampling and testing throughout the year.

Among the participants are enterprises from the regions most affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation. The program will start in November this year.


The Association Ukranian Pig Breeders is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded by domestic pork producers. The main objectives of the association are representation and protection of rights and interests of the association farms, assistance in the development and introduction of new technologies for the efficient production of pork, the expansion of markets, and protection of domestic markets.
