As piglets grow, their need for nutrients only increases. At the same time, the sow's milk yield decreases, so suckling piglets receive less important micro- and macroelements. Creep feeding can compensate for this insufficiency.

Nowadays there is a global battle against antibiotic resistance. Although Ukraine does not yet have an effective system for monitoring and controlling the use of antibiotics, responsible producers may already start monitoring the use of antimicrobials on the farm.

The third decade of September began with a weakening of purchase prices for slaughter pigs. In the second half of September, a gradual shift in the prices of slaughter condition pigs continued. The Project objectives, in particular, will be implemented by surveying more than 600 respondents — business entities from different areas of animal husbandry (pig production, poultry — broiler and layer farms, beekeeping, livestock) and representatives of backyard farms, veterinary medicine and feed production. The research will include enterprises throughout Ukraine.

Currently, there is very limited information available in Ukraine on the use of antimicrobials in animal husbandry. In addition, the country does not have an efficient system for monitoring and controlling the use of antibiotics.
