  • Campylobacteriosis and salmonellosis, the most frequent zoonoses in the EU in 2022

    Campylobacteriosis and salmonellosis remained prevalent zoonotic diseases in the EU in 2022, as per the annual report by the European Food Safety Authority. Although cases were lower than pre-pandemic levels, campylobacteriosis reported 137,107 cases, with chicken meat as the primary source.
