In early September the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine announced a program of support for agricultural producers in two ways: the first is for farmers, who cultivate 1-120 hectares of agricultural land (payment 3 100 UAH per 1 ha), the second - for those who keep 3 to 100 cows (payment 5 300 UAH per cow).

The program is implemented with the support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which AUPB received after winning a grant application contest. The focus of the project is to improve pig health monitoring under war conditions.

The Government of Ukraine and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) signed an agreement on the establishment of the FAO Project Office in Ukraine and provision of assistance by the organization to Ukrainian agriculture. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tatiana Berezhnaya during the online webinar "Business support programs during hostilities".

Of these, 3 million tons of wheat and more than 4 million tons of corn. Sunflower oil and rapeseed were also exported. Altogether more than 400 ships were involved. First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky told about it on the air of the information marathon «United News».

On November 4, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a law (draft law No. 7687) on changes in the order of reservation of persons liable for military service.

The relevant decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on November 4, 2022.

The decrease in prices for chilled pork on supermarket shelves during October is stated by analysts of the Association of Pork Producers of Ukraine based on the results of monthly monitoring of prices of national retail chains.

Imports of pork intensified in October. The results of foreign supplies of pork for the second month of October were shared by analysts of Association Ukranian Pig Breeders.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the meeting on November 3 adopted in general the law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2023 (reg. No. 8000). The document for the agricultural sector for 2023, only 1.35 billion UAH for grants for the establishment of orchards and 20 billion UAH for the program of affordable loans «5−7-9».

This is the highest weekly figure for the last almost 5 months.

Chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council (UAC) and founder of the SAVEUA Foundation Andriy Dykun will participate in the conference "The Fight for the Existence of Ukrainian Livestock Production" at EuroTier2022.

The Association of Ukranian Pig Breeders AUPB), in cooperation with the the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) and Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), is implementing the «Ensuring Animal Health in Ukraine» project.

The government has allocated 320.9 million UAH for grants for the establishment or development of processing enterprises and for the planting of orchards under the Jobs project. The decision was made at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 28.

At the beginning of November, the downward movement of prices for pigs of slaughter conditions continued, according to the analytical department of the Association Ukranian Pig Breeders.

EU deadweight pig prices have trended downwards over the past 4 weeks, with the 16 October average settling at 178.28p/kg (€204.31/100kg), according to AHDB.

The measures adopted by the white pig sector to reduce nitrogen emissions has allowed them to reduce by 50% per animal in the last 30 years. 

The procedure for submitting requests through the electronic cabinet for reservation requests for military personnel has been improved.
