  • China pork market: holiday demand lifts prices amid tighter supplies

    Holiday demand is driving up pork prices in China amid limited supplies. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, the number of sows decreased by 6.9%, which led to a decrease in the supply of fattening pigs. Pork imports were down 48% year-on-year, while domestic prices rose due to holidays such as the Dragon Boat Festival.
