Hungary will finance the supply of 10,000 tons of grain from Ukraine to Africa at about $3.5 million as part of efforts to resolve the global food crisis. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjártó.

This is not the first initiative of the Hungarian side within the framework of efforts to export grain from Ukraine. For example, in October 2022, Hungary opened a large railway terminal on the border with Ukraine to transship containers from the wide route to the narrow one — this project will establish a land route for shipments of Ukrainian grain to ports in the Northern Adriatic.
