High-pressure water spray air cooling system

Pigs are sensitive to high temperatures because they are incapable of thermoregulation (they do not sweat). This can have a negative effect on gains, sow productivity, quality of boar semen, and mortality rates. Modern cooling systems for livestock buildings can help to solve these difficulties.

Proper microclimate at high ambient temperatures

The cooling system with finely atomized water nozzles allows an optimal temperature and a good microclimate in the barn. The sprayed water particles mix with the air and enter the room through the inlet valves (photo 1). They volatilize into the hot air, thereby cooling it (picture 1). If the cooling system is properly set up, the temperature in the shop can be reduced by an average of 6-10 °C. However, its effectiveness depends on the relative humidity of the incoming air. This cooling system can be used regardless of the type of ventilation (suitable for all types of negative pressure ventilation). It is regulated via the computer control of the climate system.

The fogging method can be used regardless of the type of ventilation. It reduces the level of dust and gas in the air.

Besides air cooling, the fine spray of water through high-pressure nozzles perform other functions, such as soaking, moistening and dust binding. Yes, between batches of animals, the system can be used to clean rooms, because the "fog" quickly soaks up dirt on different surfaces. The fogging system can also be used to humidify and bind dust in the room. This improves living conditions for the animals, especially reduces dust and gas levels in the air.

Flexibility and quality of the system

Please note: elements of the cooling system should be made of materials that ensure a long service life. Pipes and nozzles are stainless steel and resistant to acids. Each nozzle should have an anti-lime coating and be equipped with a special filter (installed in front of each nozzle head) to reduce the risk of fouling. Nozzles should also be equipped with leakage valves. In addition, all components should be easily adaptable to the different types of livestock facilities. The system should allow the nozzles to be placed at the inlet valves, regardless of the type of ventilation system and its specifications. It is important that the holes for the nozzles are made after the installation of the piping, which ensures that they are optimally positioned. The pump of the system must also adjust to the individual equipment. It is important that it is equipped with phosphate filter and calcium solvent, which purifies 95-98% of water particles, reducing the level of lime and minerals in it and ensuring long life of the system.
