In August, wages refrained from falling in most regions. The exceptions are Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Sumy and Ternopil regions. Kiev, Vinnitschina and Zakarpattya saw a very slight decrease in average wages of no more than 2.7% per month. The biggest drop in the labor market and the lowest average monthly salary was in Kharkiv and the oblast. Here in August the lowest salaries were offered in Ukraine, which fell by -41% compared to the previous month (from 18,000 UAH in July to 10,600 UAH in August).

The level of wages is an indicator of the state of the country's economy, and Ukraine is currently experiencing a severe economic crisis caused by the war. Businesses are optimizing costs, most often in the form of reduced salaries and bonuses. The fall in wages, which began in the second month of the war, is now less widespread. Salaries above 20 thousand hryvnias are appearing more often. In some regions of Ukraine there has been an increase in the median wage in open vacancies. Expert-analytical center of staffing portal grc.ua evaluated the salaries offered in different regions of Ukraine, and found out where you can earn more.
