During the inaugural meeting of the White House Council on Supply Chain Resilience, President Biden and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced significant investments aimed at strengthening the U.S. food and agriculture supply chain. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) intends to expand markets for agricultural producers and ultimately lower food costs for consumers.

The USDA is investing nearly $196 million in 185 projects in many states and Puerto Rico. These investments are aimed at creating new and improved market opportunities for producers and entrepreneurs.
