Ukraine's recovery plan is estimated today at $750 billion and the main source of recovery of our state should be confiscated assets of Russia. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Schmigal during his speech at the International Conference on Ukraine's Recovery in Lugano, Switzerland.

"We believe that confiscated assets of Russia and Russian oligarchs should be the key source of reconstruction. The Russian authorities unleashed this bloody war. They caused this large-scale destruction and must bear responsibility for it," stressed Denis Schmigal.

As Head of the Government noted, the frozen assets of Russia, according to various estimates, amount to $300-500 billion. Moreover, some countries have already started the process of confiscation of these assets.

"We are grateful to Germany for the first steps. We are grateful to Canada and the U.S. for preparing national legislation. I am sure that all partner countries will join this process and provide this justice," said the Prime Minister.

Denis Schmigal named other sources of renovation of Ukraine, which are being worked on. In particular, grants and soft loans from international financial institutions and partner countries. These may be investments of the private sector, extrabudgetary contributions from individuals and corporations and funds from the state budget of Ukraine.

"United24 platform has worked very effectively in Ukraine. We are grateful to everyone who took part and we urge not to stop in this support, " said the Head of the Government stressed.
