Ukraine exports 10 million tons of agricultural products in 5.5 months of war

In 5.5 months of Russia's war against Ukraine, almost 10 million tons of eight items of agricultural products and their processing have been exported. In the first two weeks of August, Ukraine has already exported almost 2 million tons of grain, while in all of July it was 3 million tons. Corn - 776 thousand tons and wheat - 339 thousand tons left the most in the first half of August.

By the opening of Odessa ports on August 1, almost 8 million tons of food was shipped. Last year's figure for March-July was more than twice as much - 19.5 million tons.

The leader of the current five months of total exports is corn, its volume is 3.849 million tons. For example, last year corn also dominated in this period, its export share was the largest among the other crops - 10 million tons, it is 37% more than in 2022.

The second position in terms of volume during the same period was taken by sunflower seeds - 1.357 million tons. This is 99.4% more than in 2021. But Ukraine exported during this time 48% less oil than last year - 935 731 thousand tons.

Wheat was shipped for five months 636.138 million tons. This is only 16% of last year's volume of 3.8 million tons.
