The state compensated UAH 122 million to entrepreneurs who employed internally displaced people. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

«Activation of the situation in the labor market and increasing employment among the population is one of the key tasks for the Government. We encourage entrepreneurs to create jobs by providing state grants to start and develop their businesses. We expect that this will create about 300 thousand jobs. Also, we pay employers compensation for the employment of people who moved from hazardous regions, so that they quickly adapt in a new place. And we have already transferred to entrepreneurs 122 million UAH for hiring more than 11 thousand migrants. In addition, we expect the support of our another initiative of the Parliament to compensate the business for employment of certain categories of citizens, in particular the young people for their first job, combatants and single parents», — said Yulia Sviridenko.

We shall remind you that in April the government introduced the program of compensation to employers for employment of internally displaced persons — for each employed IDP the state pays to the entrepreneur 6 500 UAH during 2 months.

Under the terms of the program, the compensation is awarded to the employer who hired IDPs with a salary not less than the minimum (6500 UAH), is registered as a payer of the single fee for obligatory state social insurance, filed a tax return for the 4th quarter of 2021 or the whole year 2021 and is not a non-profit organization.

In order to receive funds, the employer must sign an employment contract with the internally displaced person and register their data on the Action Portal. After 5 days, the entrepreneur must apply for compensation along with documents confirming payment of wages and deductions.
