Despite the difficulties of wartime, in any case of confirmation of ASF activities were carried out in accordance with the current instructions in Ukraine for the prevention and control of African swine fever, among them - quarantine restrictions in susceptible areas, the withdrawal and destruction of all susceptible animals and raw materials from them in foci of infection. , zoning, control of the inadmissibility of the movement of controlled cargos from unaffected areas, quarantine posts, activities in the protection and surveillance zones, disinfection and deratization, monitoring in wildlife and domestic pigs, etc.
It should be noted once again that African swine fever is an incurable disease of wild and domestic pigs with a high fatality rate, so the only way to escape from it is a complete control of its emergence and spread.
We note that pig owners and veterinary experts are obliged to transmit information about cases of ASF to the territorial authorities of the State Consumer Service.
