Brazil’s pork industry is setting new milestones, with the country reaching historic highs in both pork export volume and revenue in the first half of 2025. The data, released by Secex and reported by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea), which has been tracking the sector since 1997, highlight a remarkable performance.

From January to June, Brazil exported 713,400 tonnes of pork—an increase of 17.5% compared to the same period in 2024. June alone saw exports reach 135,500 tonnes, marking the second-highest monthly volume ever recorded, just behind July 2024’s 137,000 tonnes.

Alongside higher volumes, export revenues also soared. In the first six months of 2025, Brazil earned USD 1.82 billion (BRL 9.82 billion) from pork exports, up 49% year-over-year. In June, export revenue reached USD 348 million (BRL 1.88 billion), representing a 14.8% increase from May and a 49.4% jump compared to June 2024.

This sharp rise in exports confirms the strong competitiveness of Brazilian pork on the global market and reflects increasing demand from international partners. The positive trend is expected to continue in the second half of the year.
