Rebuilding Ukraine with funds confiscated from russian banks

The state budget for the current year includes 35.5 billion UAH for the Fund to eliminate the consequences of armed aggression. This is the construction and repair of public buildings, critical infrastructure, provision of housing for IDPs. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmigal during a government meeting.

"Also in the near future we expect to begin reconstruction at the expense of funds confiscated from Russian banks - there is already 17 billion UAH on a special account for this purpose. The first priority - the destroyed housing of people," said Denis Shmigal.

Part of the great recovery, as noted by Prime Minister, will attract foreign investment in the Ukrainian economy. That is why this year Ukraine must complete the initiated negotiations on the insurance of military risks for foreign investors.
