Many pig farms have achieved a high level of protection by establishing biosecurity protocols, but there are many that continue to work on improvement and need expert assistance.

To this end, the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), will prepare training videos that will demonstrate best biosecurity practices at key risk points: transport, veterinary checkpoint, animal handling ramp, etc.

The next filming was completed at Goodwelly Ukraine LLC and JV Niva Pereyaslavshchyny LLC, where the main focus was on organizing personnel access to production facilities with animals, disinfecting cattle trucks and reloading pigs for further transportation to slaughter, washing and disinfecting feed trucks entering the inner perimeter of the farm.

The filming is still ongoing. The presentation of the prepared training videos to the public will be available this fall!
