KSG Agro has invested almost 6.5 million UAH during 2022 and early this year in vaccinating pigs at the pig farm in Dnipropetrovsk region. These were vaccines produced by Ukraine and leading European companies. This was reported by the company.

More than 275 thousand doses of vaccines were used during this period for sows, piglets and boars (20,800 for sows, 220,400 for pigs).

As a consequence, there were no outbreaks of such dangerous diseases as rye, circovirus, classical swine fever, parvovirus, epidemic diarrhea of pigs, colibacillosis at the pig farm. The prevention of hemophiliosis was carried out.

"Fighting internal diseases is one of our priorities, because the health and quality of the livestock depends on it," stressed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KSG Agro Sergey Kasyanov. - Even in difficult times, during wartime, we should never save on this expense item. For example, if we are talking about epidemic diarrhea in pigs, sows weakened by it give birth to weak piglets that subsequently die. Full-scale vaccination can improve the health of young pigs by reducing the mortality of newborn piglets by 20-25%. This is one of the components of the herd growth and increase of pork shipments to consumers in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye",  added Sergiy Kasyanov.
