KSG Agro has increased its pig herd by 20%

KSG Agro at the end of 8 months. 2022 increased the number of pigs by 20%, it was reported by the press service of the agricultural holding.

KSG Agro Holding increased its pig inventories by 20% since the beginning of 2022. If at the beginning of the year the number of pigs was more than 50 thousand, then as of 1/09/2022 - more than 60 thousand pigs by the end of 8 months of 2022.

According to Vasily Starobor, head of pig breeding division of the holding and director of "Strong-Invest" LLC, the increase of the herd has been achieved by improving the quality of the herd (sows and boars), rejuvenation of the herd as well as improvement of technologies and production processes.

Moreover, according to the results of the first half of 2022 at KSG Agro pig breeding complex, compared to the same period of 2021, the volume of pork has increased by 7% - from 52 903 to 56 735 heads.

The main objectives of the association are representation and protection of rights and interests of farms of the association, assistance in the development and introduction of new technologies for efficient production of pork, expansion of markets, protection of domestic sales market.
