The data on the EU’s pork exports during the first nine months of 2013 show a drop by 7.3% with respect to the same period in 2013, with a total of 2,12 mln tonnes exported.

The main destinations are China, Hong Kong and Japan, with 23.6%, 13.9% and 12% of the total exported pork, followed by The Philippines and South Korea, that show an important increase (94% and 92%, respectively) in the exports in comparison with the same period in 2013.

Russia, that held the first place before the embargo, now holds the eighth place, with only 59,9 tonnes exported before start of the ban, last February.
