First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky told about the country's provision of meat and dairy products and the impact of the energy crisis on production.

"The first aspect is the physical availability of products. Ukraine has enough production of all major products, including dairy and meat. There is a tendency to recover after the sharp decline at the beginning of the war. The second aspect is prices for these products and the impact of the energy crisis," said the deputy minister.

Thanks to the adaptability of our manufacturers the situation is stabilizing. Therefore, according to Vysotsky, sharp price fluctuations are not expected.

To do that, the government is introducing support programs for manufacturers. In particular, it is a program of affordable loans "5-7-9", which is planned to be prolonged this year. Also, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is working on the possibility of providing producers with access to uninterrupted power supply to these enterprises.

As for the impact of the energy crisis Taras Vysotsky noted that small and medium producers have survived. This is confirmed by indicators - since last October production has decreased by 2%.

"Energy can affect the pricing in general. As for meat and dairy products, it is no more than 5-10% in the cost structure, depending on the type of products. So far, no critical impact of energy crisis on production is expected," summed up the deputy minister.
