Therefore, the state extremely needs the support of international institutions and partners in the expansion of trade relations.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Economy — Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka during the online event "Aid for Trade in Times of War - the Case of Ukraine", organized under the auspices of the European Commission.

"As a result of Russia's unprovoked and unjustified military invasion, Ukraine's economy has experienced unprecedented devastation. According to the latest data from the Kyiv School of Economics, indirect economic losses in the war are estimated at $126 billion. Significant challenges have arisen, in particular, in international trade relations. During the first half of this year, exports from Ukraine fell by 23.7% compared to the first half of 2021. In the conditions of war it is extremely important for our state to ensure continuity of international trade, which allows receiving currency receipts and stabilizing macro-financial indicators. So expanding trade cooperation with international partners is important. The European Union has already largely liberalized trade with Ukraine, allowing us to increase shipments of Ukrainian goods by road and rail. We expect that other countries of the world and international organizations will support similar measures, because the expansion of trade relations with Ukraine is mutually beneficial, " said Taras Kachka.
