Biosecurity remains a priority for pig farms both in peacetime and when there is war. Without a well-functioning system, a farm cannot be protected from pathogens, including African swine fever.

Many pig farms have achieved a very high level of protection by establishing biosecurity protocols, but there are many that are still working to improve and need expert assistance. To this end, the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine (ASU), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), will prepare training videos that will demonstrate best biosecurity practices on domestic farms. Now a cooperation agreement has been signed with an American expert on pig health, Dr. Justin Brown (Iowa State University).

Over the next few months, educational videos on topics will be available to the general public:

1. Algorithm of developing on-farm vaccination protocol. Strategy of breeding herd vaccination

2. Programme of breeding stock health acclimation.
