The Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB) in cooperation with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is preparing a series of training videos that will demonstrate the best biosecurity practices of leading domestic pig farms.

Many domestic pig farms have already achieved a very high level of protection by establishing a biosecurity system. However, there are many that continue to work on improvement and need expert assistance.

"Given that individual biosecurity audits are an option that can be provided to a small number of producers, it was decided to film the best biosecurity solutions to make them available to all interested pig producers," the AUPB comments.

The first video was filmed on the basis of Terezine Group of Companies. The company's specialists demonstrated the principle of operation of an indoor disinfection barrier and disinfection of vehicles by cold fogging. Chief Technologist Yevhen Kornienko provided advice on how to conduct a visual inspection of vehicles, what drugs are used for disinfection, how to disinfect vehicles at sub-zero temperatures, and how to check the quality of disinfection.

The presentation of the video to the general public is scheduled for the fall of 2023.

The Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB)  is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded by domestic pork producers. The main goals of the association are to represent and protect the rights and interests of the association's farms, promote the development and implementation of new technologies for efficient pork production, expand sales markets, and protect the domestic market.
