Ammonia Capture Tech in Pig Farming Trial Underway

©

Ammonia collection technology is being tested on pig farms as part of the PigProGrAm project to reduce the environmental impact of animal emissions.

The project has received £600 thousand of funding from the government and brought together experts from the fields of agriculture and engineering. They demonstrate a farm solution to harvest green ammonia from pig waste and the possibility of creating hydrogen to combat climate change.

Collecting ammonia reduces its emissions and creates a resource for fertilizer and hydrogen production.
