Zolotoniskiy bekon, LLC

Zolotoniskiy bekon, LLC is a part of company group «Nadia». The enterprise was founded in December 2005 on the base of former Krupske, ALLC (Zolotonosha district, Cherkassy region).

Though the farms’ start wasn’t an easy one, nowadays «Zolotoniskiy bekon» is in the top-20 of biggest producers of Ukraine.

To the first stage of capacities entered a sow farm (1560 heads) and feeding house (10 thous. heads of simultaneous housing, that corresponds to 36 thous. pigs per year) in Krupske village.

To the second one — the sow farm in Shcherbynivka village (general capacity is 2520 sows) and feeding house in Medvedivka (18 thous. heads of simultaneous housing).

At the beginning the company worked with France Hybrides genetics. In 2006, 356 sows and 12 boars were brought to the first sow farm. They reached the total capacity 1560 sows in year 2009.

Later in 2010, they contracted with Hermitage genetics and in June 2011 brought 860 sows and 18 boars from Ireland and Germany. The replacement is done under their own steam thanks for BLUP Hermitage program.

Zolotoniskiy bekon chose the Big Dutchmаn equipment. They apply a liquid feeding system for growing pigs in Shcherbynivka and finishing pigs in Medvedivka. It becomes a guaranty of high average daily gains — 480 g, 840-860 g, adequately. In Medvedivka pigs are fed up to 115-120 kg, thanks for positive results taken from liquid feeding. In Krupske village, where animals are fed with usual feed — up to 150-110 kg.

The company has a feed-mill plant of 17 tones feed per hour. Its own land bank is only 500 ha, that’s why they need to buy some part of raw materials. But any way, the animal diets are constant — starter, grower, two types of finishing feed and three for breeding stock (for farrowing and lactating sows and guilts). Prestarters and supplement feeds are bought separately.

Own meat processing plant is in company’s plans.
