Representatives of local government authorities, community heads, professionals from the social and education sectors, civil society organisations and other specialists who work directly with local residents are invited to participate.
Over the course of two days, participants will discuss the causes of antimicrobial resistance, the risks associated with the improper use of antibiotics in households and the role of communities in providing animal owners with reliable information.
Particular emphasis will be placed on practical work: participants will analyse common situations, practise risk communication and learn how to explain clearly and convincingly why antibiotics should be used responsibly and only on the recommendation of a veterinarian.
The training is organised under the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, funded by the U.S. Department of State, with the participation of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders.
