Unregistered Veterinary Drug Found on Ukrainian Market

The Main Department of the State Consumer Service in the Kiev region reports that according to the State Consumer Service, an unregistered veterinary drug "Doxycycline 50% WSP", under registration certificate № AA-01656-01-10 from 26.10.2015, which expired, entered the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine.

The veterinary drug came from France (DOPHARMA FRANCE S.A.S., 23, Rue du Prieure, ST.HERBLON 44150, Vair-sur-Loire), manufactured in the Netherlands (Dopharma B.V, Zalmweg 24, 4941 VH Raamsdonksver), the total weight 702.70 kg, consignee "Triplex" LLC (49029, Dnepr, ul. Troitskaya, 21 A), place of destination Khmelnitsky, per. Kuprina, 7 (LLC "Triplex").

In accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Veterinary Medicine" circulation of unregistered veterinary drugs in Ukraine is prohibited and in view of the provisions of Article 72 of the Act prohibits the importation of unregistered veterinary drugs into the territory of Ukraine.


Doxycycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic with a broad spectrum. It is used to treat cattle, pigs, poultry from bark infections, rye, hemophilia, pasteurellosis, clostridiosis (anaerobic enterotoxemia), APP (actinobacillus pleuropneumonia), atrophic rhinitis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, chlamydiosis, mycoplasmosis (enzootic pneumonia), rickettsiosis, pneumonia.
