During the first six months of 2026, pork imports to the Philippines reached 455,381 tonnes. By comparison, the country imported 409,693 tonnes in the first half of 2025.
This represents a year-on-year increase of approximately 45,700 tonnes, or 11%.
Brazil was the clear leader among suppliers. Between January and June, it exported 224,243 tonnes of pork to the Philippine market, accounting for almost half of the country’s total imports.
Brazilian pork represented around 49% of the Philippines’ total pork imports in the first half of the year.
The increase in purchases confirms the Philippines’ growing importance in the international pork market, while Brazil continues to strengthen its position as one of the key suppliers of pork to Asian countries.
