The World Food Programme will step up cooperation with Ukraine in 2023, deputy minister of agricultural policy and food of Ukraine Denis Bashlyk said after talks with World Food Programme regional director Corinne Fleischer and WFP director in Ukraine Matthew Gollingworth, the press service of Minagropoli reported.

World Food Programme representatives assured us that they are ready to expand cooperation with Ukraine this year. I would like to emphasize that the cooperation will be aimed not only at the increase of humanitarian aid and their direct participation in the Grain from Ukraine program, but also in the assistance in de-mining of the territories. Especially we are talking about small farms that do not have the means to do it on their own,» said Bashlik.

He also added that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is grateful to World Food Programme for participation in the food initiative of the President of Ukraine Grain from Ukraine.

«World Food Programme are our main partners in this project and we will continue and expand this program together in order to help needy countries strengthen their food security», noted deputy minister.
