«Fresh or chilled carcasses and half carcasses prevailed in commodity pattern of external shipping because of logistic closeness of main export market to the territory of Ukraine. During the year our country has sold almost 14.7 thous. of such products. It is about 54% of total pork export volumes. 9.34 thousand of pig meat supplies fell on frozen carcasses and halves. Export of other boneless cuts run at 2.71 thousand tons,» — the statement said.
In 2015 pork import composed 3.5 thousand tons. 98% fell to other frozen production. The main supplying country was German. It forereached Brazil that was first in shipment to Ukraine in 2014. Moreover, active purchases of pork from Netherlands pushed aside polish meat to the 4th spot in the ranking of pork importers.
Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine is unprofitable, voluntary organization. The creation date is July 14, 2011. Now APPU joins 35 households, the sow herds of which compose 35% of nationwide capacities. The main objective of Association is to protect corporate rights and interests in the field of pigbreeding, to attain the worldwide standards of manufacturing owing to implementation of modern technologies.
