Live pig market operators note that during the second week of October the situation was systematically calm. Some pork producers this week sold livestock at the previous week’s price level. And those who revised the quotations limited themselves to the 0.5−1.25 UAH/kg increase. Considering this, producers expect a similar price situation in the middle of the month.
Representatives of meat processing are unanimous with the producers about their estimates this week. The results of the survey among the Meat Industry Association show that buyers expect the upper bound to remain unchanged and the minimal price to increase by 1 UAH/kg. Therefore, the narrowing of the 46−49 UAH/kg price range next week is quite possible.
