According to forward estimates, the annual pork intake per one Ukrainian in 2014 will combine 20.8 kg. It is 100 grams lower than expected last year. However, in the current situation it is pointless to expect the demand growth, as general consumer’s mood of Ukrainians is rather pessimistic. The decreasing index of consumer expectations towards the development of economics of the country and the improving of personal financial conditions discourage the pork demand. Besides of that the seasonal variations of consumer activity keep in touch. So, the bigger demand on pork can be expected nearer to the end of the year.
