The government has approved the order of use of UAH 1.5 billion to support small agricultural producers

August 16, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved, developed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the procedure for the use of financial assistance to small agricultural producers, most affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation and in need of support for incurred costs for field work, maintenance of cows, the purchase of materials for economic activities, fuel and lubricants, plant protection products, feed and other production costs. The total amount of the program is 1.5 billion UAH.

The project is financed from the budgetary support of the European Union. It will benefit the agricultural producers who cultivate from 1 to 120 hectares of farmland or keep 3 to 100 cows. Nonrepayable aid in the amount of 3100 UAH will be paid per hectare of agricultural land (but not more than 372 thousand UAH) and 5300 UAH for a milking cow (but not more than 530 thousand UAH).

Recipient of budgetary funds may receive one-time use of one of the defined areas.

In addition, the application procedure has been greatly simplified, because the support will be provided to farms and other agricultural producers registered in the State Agrarian Register (dar.gov.ua) through the Ukrainian State Foundation for the Support of Farms.
