Today in Ukraine there are many household farms. Their share of the production of all agricultural products is 45%*. Therefore, the additional support of the agricultural sector is a strategic necessity of Ukraine.
To support small farmers, stop reducing of their number and ensure the development of rural areas infrastructure the bill «On additional measures of increasing the state support of private farms and individual farmers» № 4441a was submitted to Verkhovna Rada in August.
Ways of achieving goal:
- Improvement the access to governmental support;
- Replacement about 50% of cost input on building, reconstruction, purchasing machinery and equipment;
- Assignation the one-off monetary aid to emigrees for farming;
- Ministration of road construction and other infrastructure facilities;
- Remission of land tax or rent upon payment fixed agricultural tax;
- Establishment the minimal annual rent for part of farmlands at the level not less than normative monetary land value;
- Enabling the termination of a contract on land rent at discretion if the rental payment is consciously lowering by renter;
- Supporting the citizen participation in distribution of farm business profit wherein they work;
- Carrying the free examination of running regulations of product production and quality;
- Fixing the lowest purchasing price for milk at a rate of 50% of wholesale marked price on fabricated milk products, but not less than 4 hryvnas per litter second-rate quality of whole milk.
