Following the resumption of applications to the State Agrarian Register (SAR) on 23 November, almost 3,000 applications worth about UAH100 million have been submitted in a single day for the programme to support small agricultural producers.

«Despite the current conditions, we have managed to ensure that the State Agricultural Registry is functioning smoothly, allowing nearly three thousand more small producers to apply for support. This shows how great the need for support in the agricultural sector is,» said Denis Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.

Thus, as of November 24, the entire amount of additional funds allocated by the Government for the continuation of the programme has been reserved. Consequently, the acceptance of applications for SAR support has been suspended.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy together with international donors continues to look for additional support for farmers and expansion of available programs in the State Agrarian Register.

To remind, under the terms of the program, farmers who cultivate 1−120 hectares of agricultural land or keep 3−100 cows can receive non-repayable assistance. The first ones can receive — 3100 UAH per hectare of cultivated agricultural land, but not more than 372 thousand UAH. The latter get UAH 5 300 per cow, which is in the ownership of the recipient, but not more than UAH 530 thousand.
