Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky held a meeting with the head of regional programs of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Europe and Central Asia Raimund Yelet.

«Because of the Russian aggression our agrarians are now facing another challenge to find alternative sources of energy. It is important for us to help them. There is also an acute need to provide farmers with seeds for the spring sowing season», said Nikolay Solsky.

The parties discussed in detail further involvement of assistance from the FAO in the supply of generators. Also at the meeting they discussed the prospects of providing seeds of crops to Ukrainian farmers.

Raimund Yele noted the readiness of the Food Organization together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to develop opportunities and ways of transferring the necessary resources to Ukraine.
