More than 300 representatives of small businesses affected by the war on the territory of Ukraine will receive grants for recovery during the implementation of the Project "SME Development: Economic Integration of Internally Displaced Persons and Business Resumption".

The Project is implemented by the Mission of the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine (hereinafter - IOM) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. The Project is funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Development Bank (KfW).

Thus, within the first grant competition (announced in May 2022) the Project supported 62 micro and 39 small enterprises in Zakarpattya, Lviv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions with grants aimed at resuming and sustaining business activities, mitigating the economic consequences of the war, maintaining and creating new jobs.

Within the framework of the second grant competition (announced in October 2022) 188 micro and 36 small enterprises from abovementioned regions, as well as from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Poltava regions have been selected.

The project also plans to announce the competition on a permanent basis this spring.
