The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyy summed up the results of the agrarian war 2022 during the press conference in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform. He outlined the main results of the work in the directions of deregulation, support of the agricultural sector, agricultural logistics, European integration, land reclamation and fishery development.

As the Minister said, the changes were associated, in particular, with the simplification of import and export of agricultural products.

In total, 4 Laws and 11 Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers were passed, which simplified, in particular: land relations; access of farmers to fuels, pesticides and agrochemicals; import of food and feed products, products of animal and plant origin, genetic material, pesticides and agrochemicals; production of alcohol and bioethanol.

As Nikolai Solsky noted, in early spring of 2022 the government responded promptly to the urgent need of farmers in concessional lending. The Government provided guarantees in the amount of 80% of the credit within the limits of «5−7-9» and allowed to include grain in the objects of collateral. Under this program, agrarians attracted about 40 billion hryvnias.

«It is indicative that there is no non-repayment of the received loans», the Minister stressed.

In general, in 2022 the agrarians received loans totaling more than 90 billion hryvnias.

50 million from the EU were given in the form of subsidies and grants for the cultivation of 1 to 120 hectares of agricultural land and for the keeping of 3 to 100 cows.

A grant program for the creation and development of gardens and greenhouses was launched in summer. Model projects were prepared. To date, 78 applications for 378 million hryvnias have been agreed upon.

«We expect a high level of confidence in this program and it is very good because these areas allow to create workplaces quickly. Now it's an excellent idea for the activity of villagers. The state gives the farmer a great compensation in the amount of 70% - several hundred thousand hryvnias per 1 hectare», said the Minister of Agrarian Policy.
