Denys Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, noted that the new section gives farmers free access to statistics that will comprehensively inform them about the current supply and demand balances in the world and help them understand the risks of price changes.
«In fact, we have created a unique interactive database that has no analogues in the world. It combines many statistical sources. The information is collected and consolidated in a single place, and it is all in Ukrainian,» emphasized Denys Bashlyk.
The database is operated by AgroChart, which, based on a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, provided the system for free use by Ukrainian farmers and market operators. According to AgroChart founder Bohdan Tymkiv, the database contains country statistics for the last 20 years. It will help agricultural market players to respond promptly to market conditions, forecast their activities and, in the long run, find new markets and new business partners.
This is the second product developed under the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and AgroChart. According to the Deputy Minister, the cooperation will continue in the future to make the Ministry's website as useful as possible for farmers.
«The Ministry of Agrarian Policy should be a provider of up-to-date data. We will continue to work together and expand the capabilities of the Ministry's official website. Our task is to make it as practical, applied, open, convenient and filled with useful information for all users as possible,» said Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk.
