On the threshold of VI International Congress «Profitable Pig Production», I National Pig Day was successfully held on May 14 on the basis of «Kamchatka», which ranked in the top 30 pig farms in Ukraine.
Agri consulting company «Dykun» and Association of Ukrainian Pig Producers became the initiators and organizers of the event, which turned to be a large-scale one.
The initiative of the organizers was supported by a great number of visitors among whom are managers and experts of pig husbandries, representatives of the processing enterprises, commercial and agri consulting companies as well as representatives of the specialized information agencies.
All and sundry admitted the powerful informative part of the event where the leading experts of the industry made their reports on the actual issues: consulting, farm equipment, nutrition, genetics and veterinary.
Andriy Dykun, Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food visited event as well. In his speech he focused on the government support and development of the hog industry, pointing out that to meet the requirements of the domestic market and form export potential is possible owing to joint efforts of the investors and government authorities.
The main highlight of the event was a visit to new modern sow house on 600 sows built by Danish project opened on the basis of «Kamchatka» pig farm. It is quite new experience which all visitors could adopt within tour around the husbandry.
Celebratory banquet, interesting entertainment programme and drawing from the sponsors became a pleasant ending of the evening!
