After the abolition by the Verkhovna Rada of tax exemptions on imports, the government plans to abolish the list of critical imports goods and services for which international currency payments were allowed. This was reported by the first deputy chairman of the Tax Committee of the VRU Yaroslav Zheleznyak and the head of the committee Danilo Getmantsev.

The corresponding list was approved by the government on the first day of the full-scale war on February 24. It was necessary so that in conditions of restrictions of the National Bank on the withdrawal of currency from Ukraine, manufacturers and suppliers could receive critically needed goods and services for Ukrainians from abroad, and at the same time to curb the outflow of currency.

After that the list was repeatedly expanded. According to Zheleznyak, already 90% of goods are not under the ban on foreign currency payments abroad, as well as — 40% of services. In comments to the EP, Getmantsev confirmed that the government plans to abolish the list of critical imports.

At the same time, both MPs noted that it is not yet clear whether it will be only about goods or about services as well. Zheleznyak expects that the list of critical imports may be abolished within a month before the beginning of July.
