Government expects to receive 2.5 billion euros of next tranche of macro-financial assistance from EU next week

This was discussed during a meeting of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Schmigal with the Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis in Kiev.

From the Ukrainian side the meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko and Deputy Minister of Economy — Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.

A proposal to grant our country up to € 18 billion next year within the frames of the new instrument «Macrofinancial Aid Plus» is currently under consideration.

What else did the sides discuss:

  • The preparation of an updated Plan of Priority Measures for integration into the EU internal market;
  • Intensive cooperation in the mining and metallurgical complex;
  • continuation of the EU autonomous trade measures through the non-application of duties to Ukrainian products;
  • liberalization of road transport of Ukrainian and European companies;
  • preparation of the project on Ukraine's accession to the common roaming area.
