According to the results of a meeting of the State emergency anti-epizootic commission, a quarantine was declared and a 7-kilometer surveillance zone was defined.

In addition, authorities have taken measures to strictly control the importation of pork meat, in particular at checkpoints they will check the availability of relevant documents.

Recall that last April in Bukovyna there was an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) on a farm. As a result, 21 thousand animals were destroyed.

Soon after, Ukraine banned the import of pigs and some products from the European Union due to the spread of ASF on its territory.
