SLLC "Koteleve" is one of the largest specialized pork producing enterprises in Chernivtsi region, which belongs to a private group of companies PE "Kolos" known under the trademark “Chernivetski kovbasy”. The enterprise was established on the basis of the former collective farm feeding complex area of 12 hectares near the village of Koteleve, Novoselytskyi district in 2004. Director of the company is Kovalchuk Oleg Mykhailovych.
As a result of reconstruction there were created modern production facilities with 14 technological buildings for individual and group maintenance of sows, for farrowings, prolonged growth of piglets and fattening of pigs.
In December 2005 the company was awarded the status of breeding reproducer of Landrace pigs.
Breeding animals of breeding company PIC are imported from farms in Poland and the Czech Republic. To replace their own original pig herds they are using GP boars and PIC-408. The resulting hybrid pig (F-1) is impregnated by the boar semen (PIC-337) for receiving commodity hybrid pigs with high carcass and meat production.
The resource saving technology of dry feeding is introduced. Fodders are produced in their own feed mill plant using vertical mixers of Polish production, extruders for cereals and legumes, low-temperature pelletizer for prepared feeds using feed concentrates and premixes of German group Agravis. For breast feeding piglets they use granular prestart compound feeds made in Germany as well.
Production equipment is mainly of Polish company PolNet (feed lines, food machines, plastic floor grates, ventilation, misting, air conditioning, etc.). In group cages for sows of the second period of gestation they use computer feeding stations Compident (Austria).
They achieve optimum microclimate, in particular, by floor heating in all technological areas, and local heating of piglets in farowing branch and prolonged growth.
They plan to introduce computer program Agrosoft, further development by increasing the main herd, and by improving performance indicators.
