Elita, Ltd

Elita, Ltd managed by Nadiya Kudlai, is 80 km to the south-west from Kyiv. It was founded in 1992 in Terezyne village.

Breeding pigs of Rattlerow Seghers firm (England) were imported by Elita three times—in 2004, 2006 and in 2009. The quality of Rattlerow Seghers genetic material is known in many European countries and lets to receive high-quality pigs.

100% artificial insemination is applied, and in 2006 a centre of artificial insemination for 40 boars was built at the farm. Currently the farm sells 350-400 OPTIMUS boars and 1,500-2,000 CORA sows.
Elita, Ltd has a status of a breeding farm in rearing Large White. Besides, it rents 1,300ha of land, where wheat, barley, sugar beets, buckwheat, and soybean are planted. But the main brunch of the farm is breeding high-production animals, as the staff of the farm is sure, that:
 "Increased production of pork should be primarily due to quality improvement."
Using the latest technologies and competent approach, Elita is working on creating a model Large White swine herd, performance of which is not inferior to the best world analogues.
Currently, the three departments of "Elite" keep 4000 pigs.

The first department is specialized in rearing pure-bred Large White pigs (200 main sows) and cross-bred terminal Cora sows (200 main sows).
The second department—in rearing Optimus terminal boars (100 main sows).
The third department—in commercial feeding of young fat stock.

Every year Elita, Ltd sells 8-12 heads of young breeder per one main sow, 98% of which are of the class “elite”. Every month about 500 semen dozes are sold to the farms of Ukraine and private households. Young breeder of Elita, Ltd has been repeatedly awarded with diplomas of I-II degree at different exhibitions and auctions. There are no doubts, thanks to a wise management by Nadiya Kudlai, Elita, Ltd can be proud of their achievements, since its genetic material significantly improves breeding resources of Ukraine.
