According to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), Brazil exported 132,400 tonnes of pork (including both fresh and processed products) in June 2026, a 3.5% decrease compared with 137,200 tonnes exported in the same month of 2025.
Export revenue for June totalled US$312.8 million, down 8.4% from US$341.7 million recorded in June 2025.
Despite the monthly decline, the sector achieved its best-ever first-half performance. From January to June, Brazil exported 794,200 tonnes of pork, representing a 10% increase over the 722,000 tonnes shipped during the same period last year.
In value terms, exports increased by 7.9%, reaching US$1.859 billion, compared with US$1.723 billion in the first half of 2025.
The Philippines remained the largest destination for Brazilian pork in June, although shipments to the country declined by 30.4% to 23,500 tonnes.
The other leading export markets were:
- Japan – 17,200 tonnes (+33.8%);
- Chile – 11,700 tonnes (+3.1%);
- China – 11,400 tonnes (-26.5%);
- Hong Kong – 8,000 tonnes (+1.4%);
- Mexico – 6,900 tonnes (-4.8%);
- Singapore – 5,900 tonnes (-35.4%);
- Argentina – 5,900 tonnes (+46.5%);
- Vietnam – 5,800 tonnes (+1.5%);
- Uruguay – 4,700 tonnes (-3.3%).
Among Brazil's exporting states, Santa Catarina remained the national leader, shipping 65,200 tonnes of pork in June. It was followed by Rio Grande do Sul (31,400 tonnes), Paraná (20,700 tonnes), Minas Gerais (4,100 tonnes), and Mato Grosso (4,000 tonnes).
According to ABPA, the first-half results confirm the positive momentum of Brazil's pork industry and support expectations that the country will achieve another record year for pork exports in 2026.
