Belgrankorm Poltavshchyna Ldt., (the general director is Tereshchenko Petro) is a part of Russian agricultural holding “BEZRK-Belgrankorm”. It was built by Russian investor in record short time. 30 modern fattening units which are connected with each other by roofed passages were raised in couple of months on a place where a ruined dairy farm was.
Formal opening of Belgrankorm Poltavshchyna Ldt., took place on the 14th of January 2010. The first breeding stock of Landrace, Duroc and Large White breeds of the Danish company DanBred was brought in November 2011. The first farrowings took place on the 18th of May 2012. The employees of the pig farm undertook an internship on the pig farms of Denmark and Russia to tend for elite animals. 3600 sows, 38 boars and 21 thousand piglets are kept on the enterprise. The prolificacy of the sow is 24-28 piglets per year.
The microclimate, feeding and water-distributing systems are automatic. The farm is heated with gas. The equipment of German company Big Dutchman is used on the farm. Production wastes and manure are separated and settled for further usage on agricultural fields.
The slaughtering and processing plant was bought by the company in September 2012. The productive capacity of the plant is 70 pigs per hour. The capacity of refrigerated chamber is 70 tons of bone-in meat in half carcasses. The enterprise’s products are known under the trade mark “Yasni Zori” and are certified against the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 22000:2005 quality standard and IFS international certification center.
The planned capacity of the enterprise is 2.5 thousand tons of pigs in live weight per year. But the enterprise has ambitious and quite real goals of further development. As the fattening units needs 20 thousand of feeds per year the next step will be the building of feed mill with the capacity of 150 thousand tons of feed stuff per year and an elevator with the storage capacity of 30 thousand tons of grain crops.
